Jake Cropley – Our Turn [Single]

‘Our Turn’ is song I wrote about living in the system for the first time and how confronting it can be. Having to get a job and make money, getting told what to do and how to do it, not knowing if things will work out for you. It can be overwhelming and sometimes you just want to break out make your own decisions without listening to everyone around you.

Starting out as a straight guitar rock track, I didn’t see what ‘Our Turn’ could become until Benedict Roff-Marsh worked his magic, adding new drum sounds and synth ideas to bring out the elements of Goth Rock and Post-Punk living inside the track.
